Abundance and provision.... He knows our every need and want.
At full draw is the pinnacle of a lot of preparation getting ready for the perfect shot.
I had just spent the last month pushing really hard in our ministry and on this day I had committed to spending it with my husband and relaxing. For us, being in the woods together and hunting is very relaxing. I had already spent many days in the woods and I did breath a prayer, Lord let me be successful today.
In the morning we went to our large stand that we built together a few years ago that is enclosed and comfortable. We only saw one little doe that wasn't close enough to shoot.
In the afternoon we went to a different tree stand that is small and is tight for both of us to be in. We don't very often hunt out of the same stand but this day we just wanted to be together.
So satisfying to shoot this deer with my husband there. The one who has patiently taught me everything about archery hunting (details of watching, calling, their habits and how to shoot the bow).
I have the same desire to be with God. He is the one who has taught me and desires to be right there with me as I walk this journey of life. As I follow Him and trust and obey, I am at full draw and ready to position, aim and release myself into the abundant life that He has planned for me.
Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Talk about alignment with God!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
