NEW season
NEW day
NEW bow
NEW excitement
NEW expectation
The start of the 2023 Archery Season is upon us. It is unseasonably warm here in Western Pa for the beginning of October. It has been in the 80s the last two days. Not conducive for deer hunting at all but that doesn't stop the anticipation of all the NEW that is happening.
A NEW hunting season always brings excitement and expectation. There is a lot of preparation time that goes into being ready and this year my husband purchased a NEW bow for me.
NEW gives us a fresh starting point. There is a hope that comes with it. It brings NEW possibilities. It makes me think of how God has given us this promise in Lamentations 3:22-23
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Each morning is a new opportunity to reflect on God's work in your life. Each and every day, your slate is wiped clean by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross."
I have learned that our faith has to be NEW each day too. We can't go on old faith as it was based on yesterday and since God has given us a NEW day we have to meet with Him afresh each morning.
Our God is able to inspire fresh faith in our hearts, even in moments when we least expect it. We can always look forward to His faithfulness. Nothing is too hard for Him!
